Nice... here in Australia, Victoria Police are being given instructions to handle cases of domestic violence in Muslim households differently. They are now supposed to refer the abuse case to the local Muslim Iman who will try to keep the couple together. This is being done in order to respect Islamic habits and customs.

WTF!?! The Imans are the ones telling the husbands that it is proper to beat your wife if she doesn't act like a good Muslim wife should. They tell fathers it is OK to kill your "wayward" daughter for bringing shame on the family by thinking for herself. They tell brothers that it is OK to murder your sisters because your dad said so.

This is bullshit. If a man wants to live in a place where it is OK to beat your wife, then move to Pakistan. You are in Australia now where there are laws against this shit. The excuse, "It's OK. We beat our women all the time back in the hellhole I came from." should never work here!

Do they really think that the Iman and his goons are going to help her? Hello no! How naive are these people? The Mosque is going to tell her shut up and take her "punishment" like a good Muslim woman should. They will tell her that she must have brought it on herself by doing something that displeased her husband. It will be her fault.

What the police should do it take the wife-beating husband out back and beat the living shit out of him with night sticks. Better yet. They should let the wife get some licks in too. That should give him a taste of how wonderful it feels to be abused. Then throw his pathetic ass in prison for 6 months followed by deportation.
